The sweetened version of this is an unusual, but still pleasant matcha. The coconut sugar for me cuts away a lot of the bitterness, but in doing so, it loses a bit of its matcha-ness, if that makes sense. I still find it quite nice.I like my matcha on the stronger side. For this I generally make a double shot with 1 tablespoon of the powder, while the bag for a single recommends one or two teaspoons. The powder is a fine enough texture that it dissolves well, and didn't leave any clumps when I mixed it together. Just drinking it as a shot, especially as a double is definitely strong. Even still, I didn't find it to have an overpowering bitterness. I prefer it made into a latte. It gives it the absolute perfect flavor, and sweetness for me. It looks pretty too.Considering I'm only going to get ten drinks out of this little bag, preparing it as I like, I'm conflicted on the price. That's one VERY expensive drink, but still cheaper than a coffee shop. It might be worth it, but I think I would say to get the unsweetened at this price to get the best bang for the buck, and doctor it as you please. Still, I did enjoy this slightly sweetened version. It might make a nice gift for someone who likes matcha, but not so much the bitterness.
